Reach the Peak Fundraiser

Outdoor Odyssey’s Reach the Peak Fundraiser is an evening of giving, dining, and entertainment—all with the goal of supporting programs that will help shape the future of youth across Southwestern Pennsylvania and military veterans from all branches that have fought over the past 20 years. This event celebrates the triumphs of Outdoor Odyssey’s participants through teambuilding and resiliency for personal growth.

Reach the Peak will host 300 guests in the UPMC Club Room at Acrisure Stadium. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour where guests can enjoy an incredible view of the Pittsburgh skyline and participate in the silent auction, featuring an assortment of themed baskets, Steelers memorabilia, and items made by local artists and creators. The festivities will continue with dinner and a raffle, followed by a word from Outdoor Odyssey’s founder and Executive Director, T.S. Jones. Throughout the evening, guests will be treated to stories of unique Outdoor Odyssey experiences shared by special guest speakers.

Run of Program

Cocktail Hour— Enjoy craft cocktails as you peruse our diverse auction items and take in the view of the Pittsburgh skyline.
Silent Auction— All auction items were donated by supporters throughout the community, including fine art and items from local artists and creators. Bidding will conclude at end of the evening.
Program Begins, Dinner— Catered by Aramark, dinner will be served as we kick off the event and provide an overview of the evening’s program.
Raffle— Enter our 50/50 raffle for a chance to win big while supporting a great cause. Winners of the raffle will be drawn at the end of the evening.
Guest Speaker— Experience an inspiring evening as we welcome an incredible lineup of guest speakers! Hear from Outdoor Odyssey’s visionary founder and Executive Director, T.S. Jones, as he shares exciting updates, future plans, and success stories from the organization’s journey. Throughout the event, you’ll also enjoy captivating stories and personal experiences from a diverse group of special guests, each adding their unique perspective and enthusiasm to the Outdoor Odyssey adventure.
Paddle Raise— Reach the Peak’s final fundraising activity of the evening has the goal of supporting as many future campers as possible by subsidizing their camp expenses, ensuring cost never stands in the way of growth through adventure.
Closing Remarks— We will close out the event by thanking our sponsors, donors, supporters, and everyone who contributed to our Reach the Peak Fundraiser!

Event Presenters

T.S. Jones, Founder and Executive Director

T.S. Jones, Founder and Executive Director of Outdoor Odyssey, is retired as an officer in the United States Marine Corps after serving nearly 4 decades. Retiring as a Major General, Jones vowed to design and build a vehicle to reach those in need in the same manner in which he was impacted as a youth by his mentor. Shortly thereafter, Outdoor Odyssey was born. The initial mission focused on identifying youth in need and pairing them with mentors, but then evolved and expanded to embrace a variety of organizations. Jones has taken many principles and ideals from the Marine Corps to develop Outdoor Odyssey’s approach to team building and leadership.
